What is ShalomFest?
ShalomFest is a cultural festival of Jewish music, arts, history, customs, and food. Held biennially at the Temple of Israel Campus, 400 Spring Forest Road. Greenville, SC 29615.
 
Can anyone attend? What does it cost?
ShalomFest is open to all interested people and groups. Admission is free. Traditional food, pastries, and drinks, as well as books and giftable items will be available for purchase.
 
What kind of activities will be included?
Throughout the day there will be choir performances; folk dancing demonstrations; exhibits on Jewish history and customs; a mock Jewish Wedding; short movies; a keynote presentation on the impact of Jewish entrepreneurs on the Upstate…and much, much more.
 
Will there be activities for children?
Yes, in addition to exhibits and activities for the whole family, there will be a special area with children’s programming presented by the Greenville Jewish Federation’s PJ Library program.
 
What is the history of ShalomFest?
Temple of Israel first presented ShalomFest in 2009 and continued through 2019, with thousands attending annually. ShalomFest '24 (back after a four-year hiatus) was the best yet with old favorites as well as some new insights into Jewish life in Greenville.
 
Where do I park?
Parking is available at Butler Springs Park (301 Butler Springs Road, Greenville SC 29615) and is a five minute walk to the Temple. Shuttles will also be available to and from parking areas.
