Music on Sunday

In  1998, Gene Berger, owner of Horizon Records, and Dr. Bruce Schlein, Director, Greenville Health System Medical Labs, established an affordable concert series available to all Greenville County residents/visitors held on select Sunday afternoons at 3:00pm in the sanctuary of Greenville’s Temple of Israel.

The Music on Sunday Concert Series continues to provide concertgoers a reasonably priced annual series of five two-hour concerts. The musicians are selected based on performance quality, reputation, and audience demand, and are generally from the Greenville area. Artists represent a variety of musical genres; offering something that will appeal to all ages and musical tastes. Each concert is immediately followed by a complimentary Reception. Concertgoers have the opportunity to mingle with the musicians and each other.

This program is funded in part by the Metropolitan Arts Council which receives support from the City of Greenville, BMW Manufacturing Company, SEW Eurodrive and the South Carolina Arts Commission.
