During Simchat Torah we sing and march with our Torahs through the Temple, around the outside of the building and back to the sanctuary where we completely unroll one of them. We read the last portion and then the first portion to begin the words of our ancestors for another year.

In 2009 we celebrated Sukkot Under the Stars. We began by decorating the Sukkah, enjoyed kosher hot dogs and hamburgers outdoors, and saying good bye to Shabbat with a beautiful Havdallah service. Rabbi Master brought his guitar and we had a little song fest. We also warmed ourselves with a bonfire and delicious s'mores. A good time was had by all!

Every year our wonderful Judaica Shop has a wide variety of Hanukkah gifts to choose from. During the month prior to Hanukkah, beautiful jewelry, menorahs, dreidels and candles are on display.
In 2009 we held a Mitzvah Mall in our acitvity center. 17 volunteer organizations from around the upstate area had a booth where visitors could learn about each of the organizations, discover volunteer opportunities and make donations. It was a wonderful way to give gifts to those less fortunate than us.

Tu B'Shevat is the time that we plant trees at the Temple and in Israel. We learn about conservation! We have a Tu B'/Shevat Seder where we learn about different fruits and nuts and seeds.

We have a great time at Purim. 2009 brought us a 60's Purim. Adults in our congregation dress up as the Purim characters and entertain the kids by acting out the story. Recent Purim themes have been; Wizard of Oz, Pirates, Hollywood, Outer Space and cartoon characters. The Temple Youth Group puts on a Purim Carnival with booths and competitions, prizes and a ride or two!

During Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) we displayed six million 6's in our Activity Center hallway to illustrate the magnitude of the number.
