Rabbi Jeremy Master was born and raised on Long Island. He graduated with a BA in Religion and the College of Social Sciences from Weslayan Universtiy in Middletown, CT.
After college, he attended the Hebrew Union College and was ordained in 2004. After being ordained, he worked for two years as assistant rabbi at Temple B'nai Shalom in East Brunswick, NJ and he served as Hillel director at Swarthmore College.
Before coming to Temple of Israel, Rabbi Master served as assistant rabbi at Congregation Beth Chaim in Princeton, NJ.
While in his first year in Rabbinical School in Jerusalem, Rabbi Master met his wife, Rabbi Alana Wasserman. They are the proud parents of Peri Rose.

Stephanie Glasser-Alfieri brings a wealth of professional Jewish education experience to her new role as the ECEC Director. She has a Master's Degree in Education and Special Education and has worked for over 20 years in Jewish education. She was the Judaic curriculum specialist for the JCC North Pre-School in Columbus Ohio, as well as the lead kindergarten teacher. She worked for the Jewish National Fund (JNF) in New York in their Department of Education as their National Program Director, creating innovative programming for schools all over the United States and Canada to use. She was also the Religious School and Family Life Coordinator at Huntington Jewish Center for seven years. While under her leadership the school was recognized as a National Framework of Excellence School and won several other national and local awards. She is also a licensed educational therapist specializing in a variety of learning difficulties. Most recently, she served as the YWCA Child Development Center Director in downtown Greenville. She lives in Simpsonville with her husband and three young children.

 Tina Speakman has been the Temple Secretary since October 2006. After many years as an Executive Secretary, the desire to be home with her children, Jerreme and Amanda, when they arrived home from school took her into the part-time world as a church secretary (now Temple Secretary). Tina has also been a church pianist for 35 years, and ran a small cleaning business for over 10 years. Her husband, Dan, owns an exterior coating business and Tina handles all aspects of running a small business for him.
She treasures the time that she spends with her children and 5 grandchildren who all live here in Greenville. Other treasures are her 3 Papillons - Zoey, Cadillac, and Itty, playing piano, See's Chocolate Candy, cashew nuts, and Eddy's Fruit Bars.
A motto in her life is a quote by Mother Teresa; "Let us always meet each other with a smile, for the smile is the beginning of love."

Jehu "Jay" Cover was born in Takoma Park, Md and raised in Gaithersburg Md. He attended Benjamin Franklin University in Washington, DC (it has now become part of George Washington University). Jay worked for a labor union in DC as the International Auditor and has been the Staff Acoountant Controller and Financial Officer in several different business over the years. The last 16 years he has worked for non-profit organizations.
He played high school, semi-pro and industrial touch football for several years and then started the Little League football in Gaithersburg. After winning two Beltway Championships he bacame a football referee under the State of Maryland School System for 15 years. During that time Jay officiated at 6 state playoff games and 2 state title games.
Jay has been married to his wife Eva for 27 years and has one son living in Richmond, Va. He retired in 2004 and moved to Greenville in 2005.

Margaret Reynolds Hawkins is a Greenville SC native. She has served in churches of all traditions as organist and minister of music, administering full choir programs of all ages. She has recently retired as an independent teacher of piano, organ and voice, and has served as an accompanist in school and university settings.
She was educated at North Greenville University, Furman University, and Erskine Theological Seminary. She is organist and solist for the First Church of Christ Scientist, is an adjudicator for music scholarships, and is past Dean of the Greenville Chapter of The American Guild of Organists. She freelances as organist and vocal soloist for weddings and funerals.
She and husband Harold are parents of two adult sons.
