Helping the homeless, feeding the hungry and the Transformation Walk are the social action events that we participate in during the fall and/or spring.
The Greenville Area Interfaith Hospitality Network (GAIHN) assists local congregations to share hospitality (in the form of emergency food and lodging) with homeless families, and to help those families achieve self-sufficiency and self-fulfillment. Twice a year the Temple houses families, provides meals and recreation activities for the children for one week (see above).

Each year we participate as a group in the United Ministries Walk for the Homeless. This is not just a walk fundraiser, it's an educational tour, too. We travel the same route (approximately 4 miles) that our homeless and less fortunate neighbors take when seeking assistance from human services agencies.
